General: Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

If you decide to cancel your session or wedding, your initial payment (reservation fee) will not be refunded. However, any other payments you have made will be returned to you.

What if you have an equipment failure?

Dupon Photography takes serious measures to make sure equipment failure never happens. However, if it ever does happen, Dupon Photography is prepared. Please contact if you have any questions!

How many pieces of art will I receive?

Typically, you will receive an average of 50 to 70 pieces of art per hour.

What this means: you can expect to receive an average of at least 50 pieces of art each hour, but no more than 70 per hour.

Dupon Photography knows quantity is important. However, quality artwork and great experiences are more important than anything else!

Who will be capturing my event?

For all photography and cinematography shoots, I (Gabriel Dupon) will be present as the lead creator. Additional creatives such as second shooters and assistants may also be at your event depending on your package and add-ons.

I love to get to know my clients, so if you want to schedule a call to talk, contact me via email at hello@duponphotography.com!

What is most rewarding to you?

Being able to inspire clients by capturing their story. Photos that encourage them to embrace how beautiful and amazing they are!

Should we get event insurance?

It is not required, but it is highly recommended! Many things are outside your control, and getting event insurance is a no-brainer just in case any incidents occur.

Also, making sure your vendors are insured is smart. Dupon Photography is insured for up to $2 million aggregate (up to $1 million per occurrence).

Are you a natural light artist?

Dupon Photography loves taking pictures and videos with natural light when it's available. The look of natural light is beautiful and is prioritized when available. However, when it's not available, Dupon Photography will create light by using flashes, continuous lights, and other lighting methods.

Please note that Dupon Photography will never use any flash device during a wedding ceremony without your permission first.

Do you have backup equipment?

Dupon Photography always carries backup equipment just in case. Dupon Photography invests a lot into having backup equipment to always be ready to capture your precious moments.

Will you drink at our event?

That is a definite no. It is very unprofessional and disrespectful for vendors and venue staff to drink alcohol of any kind. Dupon Photography will never consume any liquor or substances of any type and try to stay away from beverages with sugars.

Any representative of Dupon Photography at your event will just stick with water or an energy drink because we need to stay hydrated, professional, and focused on creating the best artwork for you!

Do I have to sign a contract?

As with any professional service, a legal agreement is important to protect both parties from any liabilities. An agreement also includes a model release to provide Dupon Photography with the option to market with these photos. In return, Dupon Photography provides you with a printing and sharing release license!

Any reputable business professional is strict with contracts. If this makes you uncomfortable, contact Dupon Photography to go over everything with you.

When will I get my artwork?

Usually, the artwork is delivered no later than four weeks after your photographic experience concludes. During this time, all art is carefully: inspected, edited, retouched, uploaded in a high-resolution format to an online gallery, and sent to you with access.

Prints ordered through the online gallery can take about an additional week depending on the shipping method. If an album or book comes with your package, please allow an additional few weeks for the designing, construction, and shipping process.

Please contact Dupon Photography if you have any questions.

What equipment do you use?

Dupon Photography owns a wide range of professional full-frame cameras and the best gold-ring lenses from Nikon to capture your precious moments.

Dupon Photography also owns and rents other equipment from:
Zeiss, Sennheiser, Peak Design, Matthews, Redrock Micro, Spider Holsters, ThinkTank, Canon, Zoom, Sony, Tiffen, Steadicam, Manfrotto, Apple, Glyph, Rode, Zoom, DJI, Atomos, Impact, MagMod, SanDisk, Westcott, Panasonic, Tascam, SanDisk, Steadicam, Focusrite, and many others.

Of course, the talent does not come from the equipment that is used, but Dupon Photography wants to make sure that the best possible art is created for you.

What if I lose my artwork?

If you lose or accidentally delete your artwork after your event, don't worry. Contact Dupon Photography and you will receive all of your original pictures back.

Dupon Photography takes great responsibility in safe data systems for permanently keeping all created artwork. Dupon Photography does this by constantly backing them up and keeping them in secure hard drives.

How much are packages?

Starting package prices can be found on the investment page. Please contact Dupon Photography to schedule a phone consultation.

The needs and budget of each client can be unique, so the price varies.

Dupon Photography also does not provide discounts for any service.

Can we keep copyright?

Generally, all packages do not include full copyright ownership. However, you are granted a license for access to print, share, and use the artwork for private purposes. If you are interested in partial or full copyright ownership, please contact Dupon Photography to receive a commercial package quote.

How can we pay you?

Weddings are expensive and Dupon Photography wants the process of making payments as easy as possible. Dupon Photography accepts online payments (credit/debit cards, ACH, PayPal, Stripe, etc.,) and offline payments (cash & cashiers checks).

If you have financial complications, you can set up a payment plan or set up a way to pay that will be the easiest for you. Contact Dupon Photography for more information.

What is your style?

I am a natural photographer with an authentic and timeless style. I believe that the way I create artwork is the best way a wedding can be cherished for generations.

Dupon Photography makes sure that editors, assistants, and second shooters who may also be working at your event, also follow that style principle.

Are you insured?

Yes, of course! Dupon Photography is insured through PPA (Professional Photographers of America) with Lockton Affinity. Dupon Photography's coverage includes equipment, indemnification, and general liability up $2 million aggregate ($1 million per occurrence).
